“I don’t really love to eat— I love to cook. I love to feed and nourish people and that makes me happy. Cooking also brings me closer to the five elements— fire, water, air, earth, and space. All of these elements are like gods to me. Whenever one eats it also nourishes all five elements of the body.”— Yamini
In this special-edition Cookbook Club cooking class, in partnership with Finish® and inspired by The League of Kitchens Cookbook, you’ll learn to make three new Indian recipes, including khichari, a comforting blend of split mung beans and rice gently simmered with spices. For many families, khichari is a healing dish — the kind made for loved ones when they need strength, restoration, or simply a reminder of home.
This March, we’re partnering with Finish®, a Reckitt brand and global leader in the dishwasher detergents category, to celebrate the launch of New Finish® Ultimate Quantum with the Finish® Cookbook Club — a cooking class series honoring beloved traditions while switching the way we care for our dishes. These special-edition classes blend hands-on recipe explorations with our instructors and smart, modern dish care featuring Finish®’s most advanced formula yet, with 50% more cleaning power* and lower per wash costs than a market leading brand**.
Each guest will receive a special goody bag of Finish® products plus a signed copy of The League of Kitchens Cookbook. While this is a limited-edition collaboration, you’ll receive the full League of Kitchens Taste Of Workshop experience — just at a reduced price, thanks to our partnership with Finish®.
Yamini’s sunny, spiritual nature sets the tone for an afternoon that feels grounding, generous, and deeply nourishing. Growing up in India, she learned that cooking is not rushed — it is tended to, stirred slowly, and shared with intention.
Alongside khichari, you’ll make cachumber, a bright cucumber-and-tomato salad tossed with lemon and spice, and nimbu ka achar mitha, a sweet and spicy lemon pickle.
When you arrive, Yamini will serve her homemade chai and a selection of delicious, seasonal Indian treats. Yamini is deeply knowledgeable about cooking from many regions of India, and she will impress you with her encyclopedic knowledge of spices, techniques, tools, recipes, and traditions.
Limited to just 10 guests, this intimate workshop will fill quickly.

Awesome experience! I have taken cooking classes before at other places, but this exceeded my expectations (hands-on lesson, sit-down meal, friendly instructor, culture, meeting new people, etc.). I think what was great about this experience was the opportunity to learn real Indian cooking from the source.
